Every single day in the groups, someone asks how to get more clients. But I almost never see anyone asking why they still don’t have enough clients after years behind the chair or years paying rent.
Honestly, that is the real question. Because if people try you once and don’t come back, the problem is usually not marketing. It’s the service. Simply put, if the visit is forgettable, your chair will stay empty no matter how many new people you drag in.
The truth is, clients don’t come back just because the haircut was fine. They come back because they felt something. A great atmosphere makes people want to return, and small details leave a lasting impression. If the client walks out feeling like just another appointment, why wouldn’t they try the next salon offering the same thing with a nicer welcome, better attention, or even just a decent coffee?
Look, before you spend more money on ads, offers or discounts, ask yourself one hard question. Why are people not returning? Not the ones who moved away. The ones who came, paid, smiled, and never booked again.
Until you find that answer, chasing more clients is a waste of energy. Because they won’t come back either.
I go into the full system in my book.
