Salon supplies UK: hairdressing wholesale, barber, nail and beauty salon supplies

Where UK hairdressers, barbers, nail technicians and beauty therapists buy professional products, tools and salon furniture. For each supplier you can see what they sell, whether you need a trade account and whether they have stores you can visit.

Information, not a recommendation. Listed alphabetically. We do not sell supplies, we are not paid for these links and we have not compared prices. Trade terms and store numbers change, so check on the supplier’s own site.

Trade account or open to everyone?

Most professional wholesalers sell only to people who work in the trade or are training for it. A few are open to everyone. To open a trade account, suppliers usually ask for one of these:

  • A hairdressing, barbering or beauty qualification, or proof that you are in training
  • Public liability insurance in your name
  • Proof of a salon business, such as a business bank account

Some brands also ask for their own course before they sell you a product, for example lash, brow or colour lines. Salon insurance explained

Frequently asked questions

Can I buy salon supplies without a trade account?

Yes, from some suppliers. Sally Beauty, Eson Direct, Naio Nails and LashBase are open to everyone, and Salon Services lets anyone shop but needs a free trade card for professional-only brands. Most other wholesalers on this page sell to the trade only.

What do I need to open a trade account?

Usually one of these: a hairdressing, barbering or beauty qualification or proof that you are training, public liability insurance in your name, or proof of a salon business. Each supplier sets its own rules, and some brands ask for their own course first.

Can students buy from salon wholesalers?

Often yes. Salons Direct, Salon Supplies, CoolBlades and Nouveau Beauty, for example, say they accept people who are training. You may be asked for proof from your college or academy.

Which salon suppliers have stores I can visit?

Salon Services and Sally Beauty share 215+ stores, Capital Hair & Beauty has 60+ in the UK and Ireland, Aston & Fincher 43, Alan Howard 25, Salon Supplies and Dennis Williams 9 each, Barkers 5, and Chris & Sons and Hairways Direct 3 each.

Where can I buy salon furniture in the UK?

From manufacturers including REM, Takara Belmont and Comfortel, which have showrooms, and from wholesalers with furniture showrooms: Ellisons in Coventry, Salons Direct in the Wirral, Chris & Sons in Enfield, CSS in Glasgow and Laceys in Reading.

Is this list paid or ranked?

No. Suppliers are listed alphabetically, nobody paid to be here and we have not compared prices or service.
