In October 2026 the median published prices at UK salons were: women's haircut £35, women's cut and blow dry £48, children's haircut £20, blow dry £32.50, root colour £52, full head colour £65, highlights £80, balayage £117.50. The table below shows the typical range (P25 to P75) and the number of salons for each service.

P25 and P75 mean a quarter of salons charge less than the P25 price and a quarter charge more than the P75 price. P10 and P90 are the same for 10%. Prices are posted on salon websites (often "from" prices, mid-point of any range), not what every client pays.
